Can you be the next Asia Pacific
PR Student of the Year?

A category in Media magazine’s Asia Pacific PR Awards, the PR Student of the Year award was first launched in 2006 in conjunction with Weber Shandwick, one of the world’s leading public relations firms.

The award provides tertiary students with the chance to win a paid internship at a Weber Shandwick office nearest to the student. There is also US$6,000 in prize money to be won. Furthermore, finalists are invited to attend one of the industry’s most prestigious events—the Asia Pacific PR Awards ceremony—in Hong Kong.

To be considered by the judges, students are required to submit a PR campaign proposal for a client using a creative and strategic approach to meet the client’s desired objectives. Following the first round of judging, short-listed candidates are then asked to present their campaign idea to a panel of judges via web/tele-conference. The students are also required to respond to a mock-crisis scenario involving the client.
